Edison Light Fixture – Take 2

Well, we just couldn’t leave well enough alone.  Ever since we hung the Edison Light Fixture that we created from the Industrial Bulb Pendant from West Elm, something about it had been irking me.  We had tried to attach these glass globe thingies, but didn’t like the outcome.  While on one of our many trips to Marshall’s, we came across these glass jars covered in rattan netting – it just so happened that Jake had already bought 2 of them several months ago from TJ Maxx just because he thought they were pretty nifty.  And how perfect that there were 5 of them left at Marshalls (there are 7 bulbs on the chandelier).

After some (more) trial and error, Jake figured out how to finagle a thick piece of espalier wire (a type of wire that he uses in landscaping) to support the glass jars and attach them to the bulbs on the chandelier.

Finally figured out how to 'finish' the chandelier!

Miscellaneous home decor - repurposed into a lighting fixture!

Espalier wire (12-14 guage)

Finally finished! Don't mind the one arm that's out - we broke one of the bulbs in the process:(
